Hanover Center for Sleep and TMJ is dedicated exclusively to dental solutions for snoring and sleep apnea. Treatment takes place in a quiet and relaxing environment. Dr. Werleman meets with one patient at a time, focusing entirely on your specific treatment. At Hanover Center for Sleep and TMJ, our priority is to deliver quality care to informed patients in an accessible and comfortable setting.

Quality Care

At Hanover Center for Sleep and TMJ, we understand the frustration and anxiety associated with snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. Dr. Werleman knows how to effectively counsel each patient: she listens, responds and collaborates with you and your physician. Our team of friendly, trained professionals will share their knowledge of the field with each patient in order to treat both the disorder and the need to understand sleep apnea and snoring.

Consultations

Your first visit to Hanover Center for Sleep and TMJ establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with you and your treatment. During your initial consultation, we will obtain important background information, such as medical history, and talk with you about how your life is affected by sleep apnea and/or snoring. We then give you time to get to know Dr. Werleman and to learn more about our program. The consultation includes a thorough dental examination and x-rays in order to determine whether you're a proper candidate for oral appliance therapy.

Impressions

Digital scans are taken of your upper and lower teeth are taken for your comfort along with a bite registration which means no molds.  The scan and the bite registration are used to fabricate your custom oral appliance.

Delivery

Your second visit with us is called a “delivery” appointment, wherein we deliver your new custom oral appliance and check for proper fit. This is one of the most important visits with us. During this appointment, we instruct you on how to wear, titrate, clean and use your custom oral appliance. Until you feel confident, we work with you on how to properly utilize your appliance and to ensure you understand everything you need to know!

Follow Up Appointments

Follow up appointments are designed to evaluate the effectiveness and progress of your treatment. We assess the appliance, its fit, form and function and any physical changes in its condition. We also perform an oral exam to determine any changes in bite, the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and tooth mobility. We also want to record any changes in your general medical condition, including changes in your signs and symptoms of snoring and/or sleep apnea. Dr. Werleman will work with your other doctors to make sure they receive regular updates about your treatment. Medical insurance is accepted, ensuring patients are provided with in-network rates.
